Multi Cultural Week

This week I have participated actively in a range of learning experience around ‘Multicultural week’

WHAT: I was involved in a range of learning experiences for Multicultural week. I learnt about Israel, Russia and China.

SO WHAT:

I learnt how to use chopsticks

I enjoyed learning about different countries.

I was most fascinated by how Israel is very small.

NOW WHAT

A question I have is how do you float in the Dead Sea?

Swimming!

At swimming learnt how to do butterfly the stroke.
I found butterfly challenging.
I was proud of learning butterfly because I have never done it before.

Strand Maths

We are learnt how to measure different objects.

Three units of measurement I know about are meters, centimeters and millimeters.

Persuasive Writing.

Persuasive writing 

We are learning to write persuasively. Some places I would find persuasive writing are at election speeches, advertisements and online news pages.

Visual Art

Last week created a collage a New Zealand native bush habitat.
The three animals I chose were possum ,Kea and a Huhu grub.
The feature of my art I am most proud of the trees,water and my animals.

Reading Our Class Novel

As a class we read the novel Best Mate by Michael Morpurgo.
The best thing about this book was when Best Mate got to see Patrick again.
A question I have for him is can he write a book for me.
I am feeling exited to start reading the BFG.

Reading- The BFG !

I would use the words very funny to describe Sophie. I think Roald Dahl wrote this story because he wanted to write something interesting.
